'I've just arrived home from a big weekend at Myrtleford. The Cottage on Elgin was a great base to access the special events planned for the weekend. We attended the Si Italy dinner at the Butter Factory and the Sunday lunch at Gapsted Winery. We walked to Plump Harvest for brekky and drove to the Ovens Hotel, and to Bright for the Autumn Festival. We did less cooking in the cottage this year, but still appreciated the kitchen and the comfy sofas in the sitting room. We love sitting out on your back deck, which is one of the most handsome decks I've seen in a while. We had our morning coffee out there, with our backs to the sun, soaking up the mild autumn rays...Bliss. Truly divine food and wine, uplifting company, engaging activities, glorious sunny autumn weather, breathtaking scenery - can it get any better than this? Thanks, and I hope to be back next year' (Mary)

'A big thank you for use of your lovely cottage. It was very comfy and pleasant. I think I accidentally messed up the tv tuning by pressing the wrong buttons on the remote as I couldn't get it to work after trying to play a dvd. I will get back to you soon about the weekend of 22/23 Jan'y 2011' (Stephen)

'We stayed at Cottage on Elgin near the centre of town, a cute 2 bedroom recently renovated cottage right on the rail trail that had just what a family needs, a well-appointed kitchen, deep bath, comfy beds, thick doonas & a clothes dryer'......the family took such a liking to the accommodation that they opted to stay a little longer.

‘We had an absolutely fantastic time at Cottage on Elgin. The cosy rooms and lovely spacious garden made for a wonderful weekend. The proximity of the cottage to the trail and town was excellent - it meant we never had to jump in the car to do anything. We would highly recommend your place to any of our friends.'

Excellent value for money
We had a truly magnificent holiday here and the owners went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay truly spectacular and the refurbishments are of an exceptionally high standard. We couldn't fault anything will definitely be going back.

This cottage was immaculate, with a beautiful big backyard, sunny decking area and fantastic access to the RAIL TRAIL. It was also walking distance from great cafes and Australia's best country restaurant. Will definitely be back!

‘The cottage is lovely, we enjoyed the area very quiet, and Myrtleford is a lovely town had everything we needed for groceries, post office, banking and more. Sarah and I both said we would stay at the cottage again, we can see you are making a lot of changes, the back area will be great for the summer months. Thankyou once again and look forward to staying at the cottage in the future.'

‘Thanks we had a great time. It's such a gorgeous area and Myrtleford proved to be a good central place to explore from both on bike or in the car. The cottage was very comfortable, it would be good if a few cooking things were available, such as oil.'

‘Thankyou. We had a lovely stay at Cottage on Elgin. Much more comfort than squashed in a motel room. Will recommend to anyone I know heading down that way.'
